Hammer of Gods
The deep tracks of Led Zeppelin always sparked creative energy for Justin Hunt. Their iconic Immigrant Song, in particular, carried powerful imagery and haunting harmonies that heavily influenced his desire to transform stories and music into comic book form. Hammer of the Gods began as a powerful and expanded narrative poem before being adapted into a visually driven comic designed to capture the raw emotion, cinematic scale, and vivid imagery the song had inspired in his imagination for decades.
Set against a brutal world of storm-torn seas, ancient gods, gruesome battles, and Viking conquest, Hammer of the Gods unfolds like a legendary saga passed through generations—filled with fury, sacrifice, destiny, and triumph. Combining poetic storytelling through the voice of a narrator with haunting visuals and mythic scale, the book stands as both an original dark fantasy epic and a heartfelt tribute to the timeless influence of Led Zeppelin on generations of dreamers, artists, and storytellers. The project’s passion and authenticity ultimately drew enough attention that a personalized copy was requested by Robert Plant himself.
